Grilled Beef Steak with Caramelized Onions

The sweet caramel taste of the onion complements the beef perfectly

Caramelized Onions:
Prepare the onions ahead of time or while the steaks are cooking. Melt butter in 10-inch skillet over medium high heat. Cook onions in butter 8 to 9 minutes, stirring frequently, until transparent. Stir in brown sugar. Cook about 5 more minutes, stirring frequently until onions are caramel-colored and liquid is absorbed. Set aside keeping hot or immediately serve over grilled steaks.

Steak:
Grill steaks over hot coals or preheated covered grill at medium high heat for about 12 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium or until meat reaches desired doneness. Cover steaks with hot caramelized onions.
